About the class

Niels Lønborg Brandt-Badaire will introduce the history of retail and share tips on treating the customer as the “king of the shop”. You will learn about the best practices from shops worldwide and discover insights into the future of retail business.
The Shopkeeper part 1 is part of the retail education series. Parts 2 and 3 will focus on self-service and counter sales, where you’ll learn about tastings, product placements and signage and plan the running of your shop.

Niels Lonborg Brandt-Badaire

Niels believes that the physical shop still has a crucial position in the future city. His professional life has always been strongly connected to retail, and he worked his way up to manage some of the most respected food shops in Switzerland and Denmark. His knowledge was publicly recognized when he was the key person to project, develop and run TorvehallerneKBH, the market halls of Copenhagen. For the last ten years, Niels has been invited around Europe as a speaker at conferences and has participated in several development projects. In Denmark, he is recognized as a trend researcher when it comes to the future role of food, retail & hospitality
